Jubin Nautiyal is an Indian singer-songwriter, having ancestral roots in the Himalayan region of Jaunsar. He was born on 14 June 1989 in Dehradun, Uttrakhand to parents Ram and Neena. Jubin showed an inclination towards music at an early age of four taking his father’s love for singing.

Jubin started taking music seriously at the age of 15. He formally studied music as a subject at Welham Boys School and build a base in classical music. He also learnt to play instruments like guitar, piano, harmonium and drums. He developed interest in Hindustani classical music and after schooling continued training from his teacher, Mrs. Vandana Shrivastava.

Jubin spent four years polishing his skills in music, travelling and jamming with different musicians. Jubin travelled to Banaras to learn light classical from Channulal Mishra. He took his training in western music at a music academy in Chennai where he had the opportunity to study under Veteran Guitarist Prasanna.

In October 2012, Jubin arrived in the Bollywood music scene and since then he has a trail of hit songs. Jubin debuted in the music industry with the song ‘Ek Mulaqat’ with Amjad-Nadeem from the film ‘Sonali Cable’. His next release was the The song ‘Meherbani’ with Arko Mukherjee from the film’The Shaukeens’. This song has been reviewed as ‘unbelievably romantic and beautiful’. ‘Meherbani’ was supposed to be Jubin’s debut song but the song ‘EK Mulaqat’ was released first. He shares the mic with Shreya Ghoshal for the song ‘Samandar’ from the film ‘Kis Kis ko Pyaar karu’.

‌Jubin’s new and different way of singing is being highly appreciated in the music industry. This appreciation has got him to work with top music director and filmmakers. In a short span of time, Jubin has ‘A’ listed songs under his name .He has recently sung the song ‘Bandeyaa’ for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s film ‘Jazbaa’.

‌Jubin is a versatile singer and likes to experiment with different flavors of music. He has been open to sing songs in different languages and feels that every language has a different soul which he wants to experience. He also wants to bring Jaunsari flavor (local dialect of his ancestral place) to Bollywood by using local instruments like Rubab and Rannsingha (horn instrument).
